Jamboree scout

The 1st World Scout Jamboree was held in 1920, and was hosted by the United Kingdom. Since then, there have been twenty-three other World Scout Jamborees, hosted in various countries, generally every four years. The 25th World Jamboree is to be held in Korea in 2023.

The ICCS normally helps to organize the faith and  belief zone.

Quick Facts about the 25th World Scout Jamboree

  • The theme of the 25th World Scout Jamboree is “Draw Your Dream.” Likewise, the theme of the 24th World Scout Jamboree is “Unlock a New World.”
  • The Jamboree will be held in Saemanguem, South Korea. After the Jamboree is complete, a permanent Scout Center will be created on the site.
  • The 1st World Jamboree site was only 0.024km2 . The site of the 24th World Jamboree is 57km2.
  • The Korea Scout Association has hosted one other World Scout Jamboree, the 17th Jamboree in 1991. The 17th World Jamboree was the first World Jamboree to include the Global Development Village (GDV), now a hallmark of World Scout events. The GDV teaches Scouts about global issues and how to work towards creating a better world.
