About the Project:
“Leaven in the Dough” is a transformative initiative aimed at driving social change through Catholic scouting. Affiliated with the International Catholic Conference of Scouting (ICCS). The project focuses on empowering young people and adult educators to address contemporary social challenges. By integrating spiritual and religious values into scouting education, participants will be equipped to promote peace, universal fraternity, ecology, and interreligious dialogue.
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Project Manager to lead the implementation of this meaningful project. The role will involve close collaboration with the ICCS World Chaplain, who is directly responsible for the project within the ICCS World Committee, ensuring alignment with spiritual and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the “Leaven in the Dough” project.
- Work closely with the ICCS World Chaplain, ensuring the project aligns with the spiritual vision and direction set by the ICCS World Committee.
- Collaborate with the management team and expert team to ensure successful execution of the project’s activities.
- Coordinate the recruitment of participants, including chaplains, spiritual guides, national scout leaders, and youth leaders from various associations.
- Supervise the planning and implementation of online training sessions, ensuring continuous evaluation and improvement.
- Prepare and execute and integrated communication strategy with stakeholders, including ICCS member associations, the Catholic Church, and the WOSM (World Organization of the Scout Movement). This should entail Reporting on project milestones, outcomes, and success stories, both internally and externally.
- Facilitate collaborative project design and monitor project implementation at local levels.
- Supervises the budgetary aspects prior and during the implementation of the project.
- Provide support to participants throughout the project’s duration.
- Manage the project budget and liaise with funding bodies, ensuring financial accountability.
- Prepares and finalizes the final comprehensive and financial reports to be submitted to ICCS world committee and Porticus.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in education, scouting, or social change initiatives.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse groups across different cultures.
- Familiarity with Catholic social teachings and scouting movements is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in other languages (French or Spanish) is an asset.
Job Details:
- Position: Part-Time Project Manager
- Location: Remote with potential travels for key project events.
- Duration: october 2024 – september 2027 (project cycle)
- Hours: 20 hours per week.
- Salary: Commensurate with experience.
