From February 5 to 8, 2026, the city of Yamoussoukro, political capital of Côte d’Ivoire, hosted the Planète Academy, an international space for reflection, training, and civic engagement. This meeting brought together delegations from France, Tunisia, Rwanda, Lebanon, and Côte d’Ivoire, illustrating a shared commitment to reflect and act together for a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world.
By hosting this international event, the Association of Catholic Scouts of Côte d’Ivoire once again affirmed its commitment to making scouting a true space for dialogue, encounter, and cooperation among peoples. The Planète Academy thus established itself as a privileged framework for exchanges and initiatives, bringing together committed actors around the major challenges of our time.
At the heart of the discussions were several key issues shaping the future of our societies. Participants explored in depth the challenges of climate change and biodiversity protection—two major concerns requiring collective mobilization. The exchanges highlighted the importance of global awareness and the need to promote sustainable solutions adapted both to local realities and global challenges.
The event also placed special emphasis on promoting gender equality and the development of women’s leadership. Discussions underscored the decisive role of women in social transformation processes and encouraged the emergence of inspiring female leadership models within communities.
Finally, peace education was a central focus of the gathering. In an international context marked by numerous tensions, participants reaffirmed the importance of forming responsible citizens capable of promoting dialogue, tolerance, and social cohesion.
Marked by sharing, international solidarity, and common commitment, the Planète Academy in Yamoussoukro strongly reaffirmed that building a more just and fraternal future depends on cooperation among peoples and the involvement of younger generations.
In the diversity of cultures and experiences, participants expressed a shared conviction: the world of tomorrow is built together.
