On December 7, 2024, the Hong Kong Catholic Girl Guides and Scout Guild hosted an inspiring Inter-religious Dialogue and Exchange featuring prayers and liturgies from Catholic, Buddhist and Muslim.
The day began at the Ammar Mosque and Osman Ramju Sadick Islamic Centre (愛群清真寺) to gain valuable insights into Islamic culture and practices. The participants also have a taste of delicious Halal food in the center, and under the meaning of Halal in the Muslim tradition.
The group then visited the Yuantong Temple (圓通寺), where they engaged in guided meditation, fostering a peaceful and reflective atmosphere.
The event concluded at the Mary Help of Christians Church (進教之佑堂) with Catholic healing prayers and a fascinating exploration of the church’s architectural design.
This culture-rich day was not just fun but also a meaningful and impactful experience, this not only allowed participants to explore and appreciate different faiths through engaging activities in significant places of worship, broadened their horizons and understanding of different religions in Hong Kong, but also extended the friendship among different religions.
