Try to leave the world a little better than you found it”, said Baden Powell. Simon Emmanuel Didier DASYLVA not only followed this advice, but lived it to the full at every turn. His dedication to our regional communications team and his commitment to CICS have left their mark on all of us, leaving us with a legacy of caring, leadership and love for scouting.
Today, dear Chief, you have pitched your tent in the eternal camp. Your departure is a deep sorrow, but your spirit will always be with us. Our thoughts go out to the Scouts of Senegal, to our brother Scouts, and above all to your family, who bear this heavy loss.
You showed us the way, and although you are gone, your influence and love for Scouting will live on in all of us. Go in peace, rest, and know that one day we will meet again, strengthened by your example.
Thank you, Chief, for all you have given.
