- ICCS IS COORDINATED at the world level by a General Secretary elected by the World Council, which
is the sovereign governing body of the Conference that convenes all the officials of the
member organisations once every three years.
- A WORLD ECCLESIASTICAL ASSISTANT is appointed by the Holy See upon
nomination by the General Secretary. The General Secretary. is assisted by a General
Secretariat comprising, among others, two deputies, the World ." ' Ecclesiastical
Assistant and the Treasurer.
- THE STEERING COMMITTEE
is the management body of ICCS, with responsibility for implementing the decisions taken
by the World Council.
- It is made up of the members of the General Secretariat and representatives of the ICCS
regions. ICCS is organised into 4 regions: Africa, America, Asia-Pacific,
Europe-Mediterranean. Each region is headed by a Regional Secretary, elected by the
Regional Council, in cooperation with an Ecclesiastical Assistant and a Committee.
- ICCS IS THEREFORE in Scouting and for Scouting. It places itself at the
service of education in the faith on behalf of all those within the Movement who have
chosen the Catholic faith. It is convinced that the spiritual dimension is a factor of
unity in the Scout Movement. And it intends to play a leadership role within the Movement
to foster the development of the Movement.
