July 23, 2013. The Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Mgr Mario Aurelio Poli, celebrated a Mass gathering the numerous scouts attending the WYD,  at the Quinta de Boa Vista, in front of Maracana Stadium, Rio de Janeiro. The prelate urged them to warm up their hearts in a “scout style” and renew their commitment to the service to others. “The Lord draws us by the persuasion of his love, and when He calls us, we must always respond: ‘Be prepared!’.”

Mgr. Poli, National Chaplain of the Catholic Scout Pastoral Commission of Argentina (COPASCA), was helped by priests from Latin America, USA and Europe. In his homily, he highlighted the role of Mary in the salvation history and presented Her as a model of devotion and discipleship, so to coincide with the theme of this WYD: ‘Go and make disciples from all nations’.
