WOSM – CICS/ICCS

ICCS World President Roberto Cociancich and ICCS World Chairman Bray Barnes are very pleased to announce that the World Scout Committee has renewed the consultative status of CICS/ICCS.
The World Council based their decision on the “good report” that was prepared and submitted by Bray and Roberto.
CICS/ICCS has been had consultative status with the World Organization of Scout Movement (WOSM) for many years and was the first to receive the status. Bray and Roberto thanked the World Scout Committee and pledged to continue to build strong relationships with WOSM and work together the build Scouting around the world.

Easter in the Year of Mercy

Pope Francis called on all people for a year of Mercy. For the pope merci is the central idea of the Gospel.
The heraldic device of our pope is “Miserando atque eligendo” (Beda Venerabilis, 7nd century) and based on the gospel of Matthew.
“Misericordia”, “cor” is heart and miseria is problems. It means having a heart for people in trouble. The pope ask us to open our hearts for those who live in desperate areas
and to show them the borderless love of the risen Jesus.

Fellowship Open, Transparent, Inclusive
A new initiative

After many months of collaboration, development and working together, both the IFCS and the ICCS approved and adopted the St. Paul Fellowship.
A long time dream of ICCS, the St Paul Fellowship, which was adopted and approved at the World Council meeting in St. Louis, ICCS will be able to develop a strong financial base that will allow it to educate young people about their Catholic faith through Scouting, enhance the spiritual dimension of Scouting, ensure that Catholics in Scouting are actively present in the Church and to foster communication between the Catholic Church and the World Scout Movement.
